Vocabulary:
1. Geography- study of people, places and the environment.
2. Environment- physical features around a location.
3. Spatial- The space in between two points.
4. Location- Exact position based on longitude/ latitude.
5. Place- An area described by its physical and human characteristics.
6. Region- A large area with many similar human and physical characteristics.
Five themes of geography
Human/ Environment Interaction: Action that effects between environment and human.
Region: A large area with many similar human and physical characteristics.
Movement: Everything move from place to place.
Places: An area described by its physical and human characteristics.
Location: Exact position described by its physical and human characteristics.
Three important maps
Political map- Maps that shows countries' borders.
Physical map- Maps that show the elevation and characteristics of an area.
Thematic map- Map are based on themes.
Geography Jobs:
Land surveyor: a person who measure lands.
Climatologist- research about weather of an area
Urban planner- create plans to building or developing in an area.
Location analyst: a person who finds the best place for building.
Cartographer: a person who draws maps.
